The FDA’s Real-World Application for Innovation and Development (RAPID) cloud platform within the Office of Computational Sciences (OCS) within the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) that facilitates analytics in the flexible FDA AWS GovCloud space. Our mission is to help our OCS clients bring in the best-of-breed cloud capabilities from Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS), Commercial Off-The Shelf Software (COTS) and Government-developed capabilities (GOTS) to assist with regulatory review activities. We support the development of custom GOTS capabilities for our clients (PEARL, PERIDOT) as well as advanced analytics support through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) modeling, deployment and support, and the range of DevOps and deployment engineering required to support these capabilities, through modern deployment practices such as containerization through Docker.
